"Terrain" November 2014
Alison Ruttans recent work has looked at the damage communities in the Middle East have suffered from war. In this exhibition for Terrain she turns her eye to our own backyard, looking at debris fields left by tornados in the Midwest. Collected material from Oak Park and neighboring communities will be gathered and re-presented in an installation that references elements of abstraction as well as the natural disasters they are drawn from.
